PVD Coating

PVD is a modern technique for applying a (coloured) coating to a tap. A liquid metal is evaporated in a vacuum and deposited on the tap, this vapour changes from a liquid form to a solid form in contact with the tap, creating a wafer-thin layer on the tap.

PVD taps not only have a more beautiful appearance and deeper colour, but are also many times stronger and more durable than coloured taps that do not use PVD coating. PVD taps are more resistant to cleaning agents, corrosion and rust formation. However, we advise against using caustic agents when cleaning these taps.
